Instructions for Proper Candle Burning
Before you light the candle
- Cut the wick to a length of about 0.5 cm before each use. This will help the candle burn evenly and avoid smoke.
- Make sure the surface of the candle is clean of wick residue, matches or other objects.
- Always place the candle on a heat-resistant surface and away from drafts.
- Light it in a well-ventilated area, but avoid strong drafts that can cause it to burn unevenly.
- Do not leave the candle burning continuously for more than 4 hours . Let it cool for at least 2 hours before relighting.
- Use a long match or lighter and keep hair or loose clothing away from the flame.
While the candle burns
- Never leave it on unattended.
- Keep it away from objects that could catch fire, as well as from children or pets.
- Do not move the candle while it is burning and extinguish it before it reaches the bottom (1–2 cm before it is finished).
- If you are burning multiple candles, leave enough distance between them for safety.
- Extinguish the candle if you see the flame flickering excessively or rising too high.
- Do not use candles as a night light. There is a risk if you fall asleep.
